Steve Harris

Chief Technical Officer

Steve is a 20 year veteran in the field of software engineering. His leadership philosophy is rooted in a commitment to innovation, strategic decision-making, and the fostering of a culture that thrives on continuous learning.

 

Steve's journey has taken him through prestigious organizations like Microsoft, Amazon, and several startups—among them, his own venture—affording him a unique blend of technical expertise and outstanding leadership acumen.

 

Steve's specialization encompasses IoT, embedded programming, machine learning, intelligent environments, and database management systems. This breadth of expertise enriches his role as the CTO of ElertCo.

 

Among his notable achievements are the invention of patented technology for teachable intelligent environments and his leadership in the development of various groundbreaking software applications.

Symon Perriman

Symon Perriman is a technology leader and entrepreneur. He has spent over a dozen years at Microsoft, Google and Meta (Facebook) scaling the world's most complex systems and services to billions of users.

 

Symon was also the CEO & Founder of FanWide (world's largest sports bar marketing platform), VP of 5nine Software (acquired) and advises 20+ tech startups. Symon holds several technology patents and dozens of industry certifications. He co-authored "Introduction to System Center 2012 R2 for IT Professionals" (Microsoft Press), contributed to five technical books and dozens of publications. Symon graduated from Duke University with degrees in Computer Science, Economics and Film & Digital Studies.

Andrew Hunter

Director of Engineering

With a robust background in software engineering, Andy assumes the roles of both a Software Engineer and Team Leader. He specializes in designing patterns that facilitate seamless scalability as needed, along with ensuring secure and sustainable solutions.

 

His approach involves employing loosely coupled components to encapsulate technical debt, utilizing facades and adapters. Andy's philosophy entails staying well-versed in emerging trends and frameworks, while also exercising the patience to wait for new technologies to mature before their integration into production environments.

Simultaneously, he serves as a researcher at the UW Applied Physics Lab, specializing as an instrumentation engineer in the development of devices and systems. This encompasses his role in Electronic Product manufacturing and verification for ElertCo.
